Critical Evaluation of Barriers Faced by Students, Staff and Management in Implementing E-Moderation

The dissertation addresses the problems of Information Communication Technology (ICT) application in the process of teaching and learning encountered by the students, staff and management at the College of Technology London (CTL). A hypothesis is suggested to identify the obstacles to the adoption of e-moderation. The review of literature touches on the growing importance of ICT in education, the concept of e-moderation, and the barriers to e-moderation. A study is conducted using the methods of primary research based on the surveys and the data collected from questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with the CTL students and staff. Conclusions are made about the barriers to online learning suggesting a strategy of successful e-moderation.
